About the role
You’ll build within Salmon’s shared Flutter codebase that powers every field app we run — from loan origination to card delivery — shipping to Android and iOS at once, as one team. What you’ll do:
· Work inside a modular monorepo — clean separation between feature modules and shared domain modules (domain logic, data models, repository implementations) — and contribute to ui_kit, the single UI Kit package powering design and components across every Salmon app
· Build with BLoC for business logic and Provider for scoped dependency injection, consume our in-house REST APIs via Dio + Retrofit, and use Drift for local storage and offline persistence
· Move across diverse projects — from standard product flows to our in-house Server-Driven UI (SDUI) engine — with native integrations on iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin), automated CI/CD pipelines, and AI developer tooling What you’ll own:
· Own features end-to-end: when the business brings a goal, work directly with product and engineering to find the simplest, most effective solution — not just execute a ready-made spec
· Decompose ambiguous requirements into shippable tasks, discussing them directly with product, with the freedom to question complexity
· Propose alternative architectures and push back on unnecessary complexity — shaping how our products deliver value, not just how they’re built
· Shape decisions that reach across every app on the platform: because the codebase is shared, your calls carry direct, wide-reaching business impact What makes you a strong fit:
· Solid, production experience with Flutter and Dart — ideally in a codebase serving multiple apps or a modular/monorepo architecture
· Hands-on experience with BLoC (or a comparable reactive state pattern) and dependency injection (Provider or similar)
· Experience consuming REST APIs (Dio/Retrofit or equivalent) and implementing local storage / offline persistence (Drift, SQLite, or similar)
· Comfortable decomposing ambiguous requirements into shippable tasks and communicating directly with product and business stakeholders
· Strong sense of ownership — you help shape the solution rather than waiting for a finished spec
· Experience with automated CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps
