About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn't a buzzword — it's a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to grow your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era?
We are Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI + Data + CRM. Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And we empower you to be a Trailblazer too, driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good, you've come to the right place.
About the Role

Do you want to be part of an outstanding team driving Salesforce's success in the public sector and education industries? Do you have experience in the public sector, CRM, artificial intelligence, or digital transformation — combined with hands-on technical building skills?
Join the Salesforce Solution Engineering team, where you'll play a pivotal role in driving the digital transformation of government and educational institutions. With a clear vision of how AI can remove barriers for citizens and students, you'll help streamline processes and enhance user experiences through the synergy of technology and human expertise.
As an Account Solution Engineer, also known as a "Presales Consultant," "Sales Consultant," "Presales Engineer," "Sales Engineer," or "SE," you'll be a key player in the sales cycle, delivering thought leadership and owning solutions to enhance our customers' experience. This role benefits from a technical builder mindset: you don't just demo and design solutions — you can also prototype, configure, and validate real agentic and data-driven solutions.
You'll collaborate with customers, account executives, product specialists, and partners to develop innovative solutions that connect public sector and educational organizations with their constituents in new ways. You'll translate the complex needs of public sector and educational entities into practical and impactful solutions, effectively communicating the value of Salesforce products like Public Sector Solutions, Education Cloud, and Agentforce — backed by the technical depth to prove feasibility, not just tell a story.
This role offers the unique opportunity to engage across the entire customer lifecycle, leveraging your curiosity, creativity, and technical acumen to drive innovation in a collaborative, ever-evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Clearly and confidently articulate the value and benefits of Salesforce — as a company and as a platform — to all levels of public sector and educational organizations, including public officials, academic leaders, IT managers, executives, and policy makers.
• Assess business requirements within public administrations and educational institutions, identify challenges, and propose solutions that address regulatory, operational, and innovation needs, highlighting return on investment.
• Manage the entire solution cycle, working closely with cross-functional teams (sales, consulting, delivery, partners) to ensure a cohesive and impactful proposal.
• Deliver tailored Salesforce demonstrations that reflect the unique processes of the organizations you serve, using storytelling and value positioning.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, respond to RFPs, and provide technical training and support to both customers and internal teams.
• Gather feedback from customers and collaborate with product development teams to continuously enhance our solutions.
• Monitor public sector and educational technology trends and innovations to ensure our offerings remain at the forefront of digital transformation.
• Promote enablement activities (webinars, best practices, knowledge sharing) and participate in internal training and mentoring initiatives.
• Demonstrate expertise in leveraging AI and cloud applications, showing how these technologies can automate processes, improve citizen and student services, and reduce administrative burden — with the ability to build, not just describe, proof-of-concept agentic solutions.
• Co-build alongside customers and partners, sharing best practices and enablement as you go, leaving teams more capable after each engagement.

Requirements & Skills
Presales & Domain

• Customer-oriented, curious, critical thinker with a passion for public sector and educational digitalization, automation, generative AI, and agentic technologies.
• Experience in presales, solution architecture, or technical consulting within cloud, CRM, or AI applications (public sector/education background is a plus, not a requirement).
• Excellent communication skills. Professional fluency in Flemish / Dutch and English. Good operational command of French is a plus.
• Strong listening, analytical, and business requirement translation skills. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, value-driven solutions for both executive and non-technical stakeholders.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Self-driven, adaptable, and proactive in managing your own professional growth.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment, managing diverse projects and priorities (such as sales opportunities, RFPs, subject matter expert programs, and internal enablement).

Technical Expertise

• Practical experience building or configuring technical solutions, whether through full-stack development, cloud integration, or AI application building.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns, sufficient to design solutions, not just consume them.
• Practical experience with LLMs and prompt engineering — able to explain why a prompt failed and what you'd change.
• Ability to thoughtfully evaluate and refine AI outputs for real-world reliability.

Nice-to-Haves / On-the-Job Growth

• Deep expertise in Salesforce industry solutions (Public Sector Solutions, Education Cloud).
• Comfort using AI-powered development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, Salesforce coding tools like Agentforce Vibes).
• Hands-on experience with Agentforce and Data Cloud, building proofs of concept that move from sketch to demonstrable in days, not months, using modern AI tools.
• Enterprise data warehouse integration (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery).
