Job Title: Sales Support Specialist

Monthly Pay: $4,209 - $5,664 USD per month

Summary:

Accurate quotes and clear sales information help prospects move forward and give sales representatives more time for customer conversations. The Sales Support Specialist handles focused sales support tasks within the sales team, working under a sales operations team lead. This role works with sales representatives, account executives, prospects, and product specialists to keep requests moving from initial inquiry through sales handoff. This fully remote position allows you to work from home in New York, United States, completing desk-based work through shared digital systems. The role requires a 40-hour weekly commitment. Working days and shift times may vary.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review incoming sales support requests from shared email queues and assigned tasks, identify the requested action, and confirm ownership before beginning work.
  • Check prospect contact details, opportunity stage, product selections, and requested quantities against information provided by sales representatives, asking for clarification when details conflict.
  • Maintain opportunity information in a CRM such as Salesforce, recording request status, sales activity, next steps, and the person responsible for each follow-up.
  • Prepare standard sales quotations using approved pricing and templates, checking calculations and product availability with the appropriate internal contact before sharing drafts.
  • Assemble existing product information and approved sales materials for representatives, matching the material to the prospect's stated requirements without making unsupported product promises.
  • Respond to routine prospect questions about quote status and available product information, routing detailed product questions to product specialists and commercial decisions to account executives.
  • Track open quotation requests and missing inputs, follow up with assigned owners, and notify sales representatives when delays could affect an expected customer response.
  • Escalate pricing exceptions, conflicting instructions, or requests outside established procedures to the sales operations team lead, summarizing the issue and actions already taken.
  • Update opportunity outcomes after representatives confirm customer decisions, organize handoff information for the next team, and close completed support tasks with clear notes.
  • Review sales support activity for recurring delays and report findings to the team lead; quality is judged through accuracy, turnaround, complete notes, and timely follow-up.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • About 1-2 years of sales support, sales administration, or related office experience preferred, particularly experience helping representatives manage quotations and opportunity updates.
  • Understanding of sales pipeline stages, standard quotation preparation, approved pricing references, and the distinction between support tasks and decisions owned by sales representatives.
  • Familiarity with a CRM such as Salesforce for updating opportunities, finding activity history, and keeping next steps visible to colleagues.
  • Ability to check quantities, pricing calculations, and product details carefully, recognize inconsistent information, and request clarification before releasing a quotation.
  • Clear written and verbal communication for answering routine questions, explaining request status, and providing concise handoff notes to internal colleagues.
  • Ability to prioritize concurrent requests, protect confidential commercial information, and follow established approval steps without promising unapproved pricing or delivery dates.
  • A reliable computer, high-speed internet, and a quiet private workspace, with availability for the 40-hour weekly commitment and agreed working days and shift times.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Perks & Benefits:

  • Fully remote work from home in New York, United States.
  • Structured onboarding and training on a CRM such as Salesforce and established sales support procedures.
  • Regular check-ins with the team lead to review questions, priorities, and progress.
  • Opportunities to build quotation preparation, sales reporting, and sales administration skills through daily work.
  • Health coverage, paid leave, a 401(k), maternity leave, and stipends.
