Short Summary:
In Roche’s Pharmaceutical Research and Early Development organization (pRED), you will work within a highly engaged, cross-functional team to drive innovation in drug discovery by developing foundational cellular models.
Responsibilities:
- Model Innovation: Independently design, engineer, validate, and optimize disease-relevant cellular models at scale.
- Advanced Engineering: Apply diverse cell engineering approaches, including CRISPR/Cas technologies and stable cell line generation.
- Pipeline Integration: Translate complex cellular models into scalable, reproducible workflows for high-content imaging and phenotypic screening.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner across therapeutic areas, automation, data analysis, and chemistry teams.
- Culture Contribution: Cultivate an inclusive, collaborative, and curious team environment.
Requirement:
- Education & Experience: A PhD in cell biology, molecular biology, or a closely related scientific discipline.
- Cell Culture Expertise: Strong hands-on experience in advanced cell culture techniques.
- Advanced Genome Editing: Extensive practical experience in cell engineering, particularly CRISPR/Cas-based genome editing.
- Molecular Biology Proficiency: Solid experience with cloning, transfection, and genetic element design.
- Imaging & Screening: Exposure to high-content imaging and automated cell culture.
- Communication & Mindset: Resourceful problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach and strong communication skills in English.
