Short Summary:
As a UX Designer II (Contract) on the Teamfight Tactics team, you will help define and deliver in-game and around-game experiences for players across PC and mobile. This role is ideal for someone who can independently own meaningful areas of the player experience and connect UX decisions to product goals.
Responsibilities:
- Design high-quality UX flows, wireframes, prototypes, and interaction models for Teamfight Tactics features and player-facing systems.
- Independently own scoped feature areas, turning ambiguous product and design goals into clear end-to-end player experiences.
- Frame UX problems by identifying player needs, usability risks, and opportunities to improve clarity and product outcomes.
- Translate game design goals and product requirements into intuitive experiences.
- Write and contribute to design briefs, feature definitions, and behavioral specs.
- Partner closely with game designers, visual designers, engineers, producers, and QA to ship polished experiences.
- Work with engineers to ensure UX designs are feasible and optimized for platform constraints.
- Review implemented work in-engine and collaborate with partners to resolve usability issues.
- Use player feedback and research insights to refine designs and inform future priorities.
Requirement:
- 3+ years of professional experience in UX design, product design, or a similar role.
- Experience designing and shipping consumer-facing digital products or game features.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UX fundamentals.
- Ability to independently own medium-sized UX problem spaces.
- Experience designing interfaces and flows for PC and mobile.
- Proficiency with modern UX design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience designing UX for live-service games.
- Familiarity with Teamfight Tactics or comparable competitive game ecosystems.
- Experience working on feature-rich player systems.
- Understanding of implementation constraints within modern game engines.
