Profile This is a client delivery-focused Product Design role, not a strategic roadmap position. You'll initially support one core product and a new customer engagement just getting underway, with the possibility of also working across a second related product as the client needs shift. The ideal candidate excels at taking specific, sometimes messy customer requirements and translating them into thoughtful designs that fit within an existing product framework, think turning a client's spreadsheet or operational process into a usable workflow, screen, or table. You'll present designs directly to clients, ask good questions, explain your decisions, and incorporate feedback in real time.

Responsibilities

• Design complex B2B product features, especially data-heavy workflows, tables, forms, and configuration screens.
• Translate specific or messy customer requirements into thoughtful designs that fit within the framework of an existing product.
• Present designs directly to clients, ask clarifying questions, explain design decisions, and incorporate feedback.
• Exercise strong product judgment, going beyond the literal request to understand what the customer actually needs.
• Work independently while collaborating closely with Product Managers and Engineering.
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma.

Availability: Part-time (10-15 hrs/week) with flexibility to scale up or down based on client needs. Long term engagement.

• Must have good overlap with Central Time (TX).

• Upper-intermediate to fluent speaking and writing English. Able to have a real-time conversation.
• 3+ years of full-time hands-on Product Design / UX/UI Design experience.
• 3+ years of full-time hands-on Figma experience.
• Experience designing complex B2B products and systems, especially data-heavy workflows, tables, forms, and configuration.
• Strong ability to translate specific or messy customer requirements into thoughtful designs that fit within an existing product framework.
• Strong product judgment and interaction design skills, able to understand what the customer actually needs, not just the literal request.
• Able to work independently and collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineering teams.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, client-facing environments.

• Experience with Pendo.
• OMS (Order Management Systems) experience.
• Ad tech, media, revenue workflow, or other complex enterprise software experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated ability.

Most of our long-term full-time engagements last multiple years. It allows you to evolve your career with the client company taking on more responsibilities.

The Right Balance team is 55+ engineers going to 75+ by the end of the year. The current client size team is 105+ people. The timing is great to be a part of a rapidly growing team making meaningful contributions.

What happens if the engagement is completed?

Most of our engagements are long-term in nature. That said, if the current engagement is ramping down, we’ll present you with more long-term opportunities to transition into.
