The Opportunity:

Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Corporate Affairs, Communications and Policy Advocacy, Germany and indirectly to the Executive Director for Government Affairs, Europe, this individual is responsible for representing RevMed among government, policy, and industry stakeholders in Germany, supporting the Senior Director in translating the national Corporate Affairs strategy into effective government affairs initiatives. This role plays a key part in establishing RevMed as a credible and valued partner within the German healthcare policy landscape and in strengthening the company's position among relevant decision-makers.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing the government affairs strategy for Germany in close alignment with the Senior Director, Corporate Affairs, Germany and the Executive Director of Government Affairs, Europe.

  • Representing RevMed in healthcare policy forums, industry associations, and trade bodies in Germany, collaborating with industry peers to shape collective positions and advocate for patient-centered health policy approaches.

  • Cultivating and maintaining strategic relationships with government entities, healthcare providers, industry associations, and medical societies through effective engagement programs.

  • Monitoring healthcare policy developments relevant to RevMed's strategy and providing timely, well-founded counsel to the Senior Director and leadership.

  • Identifying and leveraging strategic opportunities to strengthen RevMed's reputation.

  • Preparing and supporting the Senior Director and other leaders for engagements with policymakers and institutional stakeholders, ensuring a consistent and well-positioned presence.

  • Partnering with the Patient Advocacy function on engagement strategies with patient organizations relevant to access and policy processes.

  • Contributing to the strategic allocation of the government affairs budget, including the selection and management of specialized agencies and vendors.

  • Overseeing external agencies, consultants, and project-based partners as required.

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and RevMed's ethical standards across all government affairs activities.

  • Collaborating closely across Communications, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Patient Advocacy to ensure alignment of national initiatives with broader company objectives.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or health policy roles; experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is advantageous but not required for candidates with demonstrated expertise.

  • Comprehensive understanding of the German healthcare system, reimbursement landscape, regulatory framework, and policy-making processes.

  • Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder engagement, public affairs, and building corporate reputation within a highly regulated healthcare environment.

  • Proven track record of influencing healthcare policy and stakeholder perspectives in a competitive market.

  • Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.

  • Experience collaborating effectively within cross-functional, matrixed teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.

  • Native-level German and excellent business English, written and spoken.

  • Proficiency with MS Office and common business applications.
