Data Integration Administrator, TPA

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

The Data Integration Administrator develops, maintains, and supports data integrations, SQL-based Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes, and automated workflows for Relation’s Third-Party administrator (TPA) systems and business applications. The individual in this role monitors data quality and integration performance, troubleshoots issues, and partners with operation and technical teams to improve the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of data exchange.  The Data Integration Administrator also maintains technical documentation and controls to support operational continuity, SOC requirements and audit readiness.

A GLIMPSE INTO YOUR DAY

• Develops, maintains and supports SQL-based ETL processes, data integrations, interfaces and automated workflows across TPA applications and business systems.
• Monitors scheduled integrations, file feeds, and automated processes; investigates and resolves failures, performance issues, data discrepancies, and processing exceptions.
• Performs data validation, quality assurance testing, and reconciliation to confirm the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data exchanged between systems, clients, vendors, and third-party platforms.
• Partners with Systems, Claims, Eligibility, Billing, Account Management, and other operational teams to define requirements, support implementations and conversions, and resolve data-related issues.
• Creates and maintains data mappings, transformation logic, validation rules, technical specifications, process documentation, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Analyzes datasets and integration results to identify anomalies, root causes, control gaps, and opportunities to improve data quality and process reliability. Identifies and implements workflow automation and process improvements that reduce manual effort, strengthen controls, and improve operational efficiency.
• Develops reports and assessments to monitor integration performance, data quality, and the operational impact of automation and process improvements.
• Maintains documentation and evidence in accordance with SOC requirements, internal controls, data security standards, and audit expectations.
• Uses approved technology and Relation proprietary AI tools to improve analysis, documentation, testing, troubleshooting, and process efficiency while protecting confidential and sensitive data.
• Performs other projects, duties, and tasks, as assigned.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Four-year degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data integration, ETL development, database administration, systems integration, or a related technical function.
• Experience within a Third-Party Administrator (TPA), self-funded health plan, payer, healthcare administration, insurance, or employee benefits environment preferred,
• Experience with systems, data exchanges, and healthcare EDI transactions supporting claims, eligibility, enrollment, billing, pharmacy benefit management, or related TPA functions preferred,
• Familiarity with SOC controls, audit requirements, data security practices, and technical documentation standards preferred.
• Experience developing and maintaining SQL queries and SQL-based ETL processes in relational database environments.
• Experience supporting data integrations across relational databases, applications, APIs, EDI transactions, ETL tools, file exchanges, or workflow automation platforms.
• Experience performing data validation, quality assurance testing, reconciliation, and analysis of data anomalies or processing failures.
• Working knowledge of relational database concepts, data structures, data mapping, transformation logic, and data integrity controls.
• Ability to document technical processes, integrations, workflows, and controls clearly and consistently.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical partners.
