Senior Staff Security Engineer

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Leverages deep security knowledge and experience to achieve highly critical engineering business objectives.

• Develops new hardware and software security features and updates existing products; ensures the security of all products is maintained throughout the product lifecycle.

• Serves as a technical expert performing advanced security assessments and evaluations of company products, including vulnerability and risk assessments and threat analysis, to identify potential design and implementation vulnerabilities.

• Develops highly critical security architectures and solutions for products and subsystems and leads cross-organizational teams to adopt and implement them.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 7+ years of Security Engineering experience or related work experience.

• 5+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, System Verilog, etc.

Level of Responsibility:

• Makes significant decisions that affect work beyond the immediate team.

• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information; may require negotiation, influence, tact, etc.

• Influences product architecture and features.

• Performs tasks that often require multiple steps that can be completed in various orders; extensive planning, problem-solving, and prioritization are required to complete tasks effectively.
