Responsibilities:
- Team lead for engineers responsible for Linux and VMWare initiator stack behavior, Fibre Channel, and NIC drivers on Pure storage array.
- Develop and maintain Linux initiator behavior attached to Flasharray, focusing on NVME and FC-SCSI interfaces.
- Debug issues with VMWare as an initiator and create compatibility documentation.
- Maintain Linux kernels for internal testing and document supported configurations for customers.
- Optimize Linux initiator behavior for Pure Storage Flasharray, contributing bug fixes and enhancements to Linux upstream.
- Maintain Purity’s Fibre Channel SCSI target driver and NIC drivers on Pure’s storage systems.
Requirement:
- Strong experience writing device drivers and/or kernel development for Linux/Unix, preferably in storage and/or networking drivers.
- Minimum 5 years of development experience, typically candidates would have 15+ years.
- Experience with storage protocols (SCSI, NVME) and leading other engineers technically.
- Proficient in C, C++, and Python, with experience in performance analysis/optimization for storage systems.
- Experience debugging difficult storage attach issues and developing test automation.
