Overview Epsilon is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of complex, data-driven marketing programs across direct mail, email, digital, and related channels. This role connects client and account-team objectives with the technical teams responsible for data processing, campaign development, quality control, and fulfillment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on project leader who can translate business needs into clear, testable requirements; manage multiple workstreams and dependencies; identify risks early; and drive accurate, on-time delivery in a fast-paced production environment. The role requires strong technical curiosity and data fluency, but it is not a software-development position. Responsibilities Own projects from intake and discovery through requirements, development, testing, approvals, launch, and post-production follow-up. Facilitate kickoffs and working sessions that align account, client, data engineering, campaign development, analytics, production, and vendor teams on scope, roles, timing, and success criteria. Translate written and verbal direction into complete business requirements covering source data, selection logic, inputs, outputs, file layouts, processing rules, personalization, suppressions, channel requirements, and reporting needs. Build and maintain project plans, milestones, dependencies, decision logs, risks, issues, and action items; proactively communicate impacts and recovery plans when timing or scope changes. Coordinate audience targeting, segmentation, test strategies, and measurement requirements with account, analytics, and technical partners. Partner with SQL programmers, data engineers, and campaign developers to clarify requirements, resolve questions, and confirm that deliverables meet documented expectations. Establish and enforce quality-control checkpoints throughout production, including requirement validation, record-count and file-layout checks, proof or sample review, output reconciliation, and stakeholder sign-off. Manage data integration and secure file-transfer handoffs among internal systems, clients, fulfillment partners, and other vendors; troubleshoot missing, late, incomplete, or unexpected data. Lead issue triage and root-cause coordination, documenting decisions, owners, corrective actions, and preventive improvements. Balance priorities across multiple programs, surface resource constraints, and escalate risks with clear business impact and recommended options. Drive repeatable processes, templates, checklists, and governance that improve delivery quality, reduce rework, and increase speed to market. Provide concise status reporting for working teams and leadership, including progress, decisions needed, risks, dependencies, and next steps. Qualifications 3-5 years of project management, marketing operations, technical delivery, business analysis, or related experience. Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects with multiple dependencies, tight production deadlines, and varied technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to turn ambiguous requests into organized, actionable, and testable business requirements. Strong understanding of project lifecycle practices, including scope, schedules, risk and issue management, change control, approvals, and stakeholder communication. Experience working with data files, record counts, file layouts, selection or segmentation logic, and quality-control processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics in clear business language. Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, facilitation, prioritization, negotiation, and conflict-management skills. High attention to detail, sound judgment, ownership, follow-through, and composure under pressure. Ability to work independently while building productive relationships across account, technical, analytics, production, and vendor teams. Technical and Tool Requirements Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams; strong Excel skills for reviewing and reconciling campaign data are expected. Experience with a work-management platform such as Workfront, Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, or Microsoft Project. Working knowledge of SQL and relational-data concepts sufficient to discuss joins, filters, fields, record counts, source-to-output mapping, and testing with technical teams; hands-on coding is a plus, not a requirement. Familiarity with SFTP or other secure file-transfer processes, data specifications, naming conventions, and production handoffs. Comfort using AI-enabled productivity tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, to improve documentation, meeting follow-up, analysis, and workflow efficiency while following applicable data-handling policies. Preferred Experience Direct mail, email, digital, SMS, or omnichannel campaign operations. Automotive, nonprofit, financial services, retail, or another high-volume, data-driven marketing environment. Campaign fulfillment, personalization, postal processing, audience segmentation, reporting, or vendor management. Agile or hybrid delivery methods and formal project-management training or certification, such as PMP, CAPM, or Scrum. Education Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience. Additional Information The Power of One starts with our people!
