Short Summary:
We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer - (Backend & Full Stack) to join Procore’s Engineering team. In this role, you’ll help revolutionize a historically underserved industry by building scalable SaaS solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend and full-stack software solutions using modern technologies hosted on AWS and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, UX, Infrastructure, and Platform teams to deliver customer-centric solutions.
- Lead technical design and architecture decisions that balance immediate business needs with long-term scalability and maintainability.
- Establish engineering best practices and drive cross-functional technical initiatives.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
- Build and enhance modern CI/CD pipelines while ensuring software quality through testing, deployment, monitoring, and operational excellence.
- Leverage technologies including Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Java, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and an evolving microservices architecture.

Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on fundamentals, Test Driven Development (TDD), and system design.
- Professional experience with Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Java, React, Python, Go, or similar.
- Proven experience working with software, platforms, and infrastructure at scale, managing thousands of hosts and millions of users.
- Expertise in building and maintaining modern Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery systems at scale.
- Experience leading large technical initiatives with the ability to course-correct and adapt as needed.
