Short Summary:
We’re looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join Procore’s Quality & Safety organization. In this role, you’ll lead the Safety Insights & Compliance and Q&S Tool Permissions teams, delivering scalable, high-quality improvements to critical tools for safe work.

Responsibilities:
- Own and lead the strategic direction, execution, and delivery for the Safety Insights & Compliance and Q&S Tool Permissions teams.
- Partner closely with Product Management, UX, and cross-functional stakeholders to define product roadmaps and align technical strategies with Procore's business goals.
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers across the stack (Ruby on Rails, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL).
- Ensure the delivery of scalable, high-quality, and compliant solutions, emphasizing system stability, high performance, security, and exceptional user experience.
- Drive engineering best practices and Agile methodologies across all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Requirement:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 8+ years of total software engineering experience with strong fundamentals in Object-Oriented Programming, Test-Driven Development, and System Design.
- 2+ years of experience in direct engineering management or technical leadership.
- Hands-on technical background with Ruby on Rails, React/JS, TypeScript, and modern Service-Oriented Architecture / Microservices.
- Proven track record of shipping scalable, high-quality customer-facing software.
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills with a passion for driving career growth.
- Deep familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and delivery tooling (Jira, Confluence).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
