Short Summary:
We're looking for a QA Engineer II to join Procore's Product & Technology organization. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and scaling performance and load tests for critical systems to ensure our platform delivers reliable and high-performing experiences to millions of users worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Design, write, and maintain automated test suites (UI, API, and integration) that expand coverage and shorten release cycles.
- Execute manual, exploratory, and regression testing for new features and bug fixes prior to release.
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers during planning to define clear, testable acceptance criteria.
- Investigate, reproduce, and document defects with precise steps, logs, and severity assessments to speed resolution.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitor results to keep the build healthy and stable.
- Analyze test failures, triage root causes, and reduce flaky or redundant tests across the suite.
- Contribute to test strategy, coverage metrics, and quality standards for your team's product area.
- Champion quality best practices across the development lifecycle and mentor peers on effective testing techniques.
- Leverage generative tools and agentic workflows to move faster and work smarter.
Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including hands-on test automation.
- Proficiency with automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, or similar) and at least one programming or scripting language.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, the software development lifecycle, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience testing web applications and REST APIs, with familiarity in defect-tracking and test-management tools (e.g., Jira, Xray).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with meticulous attention to detail and clear written communication.
