Short Summary:
Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform, enabling individuals to express views on real-world events by trading on outcomes across various domains. The Markets team is looking for a dedicated data scientist to build infrastructure for understanding market health and model liquidity dynamics.

Responsibilities:
- Model liquidity dynamics across markets to identify drivers of healthy order flow and inform liquidity rewards structure.
- Build and maintain recurring reports on market health metrics.
- Audit new market listings using historical data to recommend approval or adjustments.
- Analyze underperforming markets to diagnose root causes.
- Partner with the Markets team to scope data questions and deliver actionable outputs.
- Develop frameworks for evaluating market effectiveness.
- Identify gaps in data collection and work with engineering to address them.

Requirement:
- Strong Python proficiency for data analysis and statistical modeling.
- SQL knowledge is a must.
- Deep knowledge of market structure, order books, spreads, and liquidity provision.
- Experience owning analyses from scoping to delivery.
- Track record of building complex models.
- Comfort working embedded in a non-data team.
- (Plus) Experience at a prediction market platform or trading firm.
- (Plus) Familiarity with automated market makers or decentralized exchange design.
- (Plus) Experience building or evaluating liquidity incentive programs.
