Senior Data Developer
Employment Type:
Permanent
Job Description:
Senior Data Developer- Montreal only
Our data platform powers analytics and AI products for over 200 global travel partners and we need a technical leader to build pipelines that can handle this scale. This is your chance to own complex projects end to end and define how we build our data infrastructure.
What You'll Be Doing
You will design and deploy scalable data pipelines and real-time streaming architectures that directly support our customer-facing applications and machine learning models. You will act as a technical leader, collaborating with architects to translate vision into concrete solutions while mentoring intermediate engineers to raise the team's bar. AI is built into how we produce software, so you will leverage AI-assisted development tools and build intelligent systems to automate monitoring and data quality. You will take full ownership of optimizing our cloud infrastructure to ensure both high performance and cost efficiency.
The Stack
Python · SQL · Java · Scala · Snowflake · Airflow · Dagster · Kafka · Kinesis · AWS (S3, Glue, Lambda) · Terraform · Docker · Kubernetes
What You Bring
- You have a strong track record of delivering large-scale data solutions and deeply understand complex SQL optimization and NoSQL databases.
- You know how to build modern data architectures and streaming setups using tools like Snowflake, Kafka, and orchestration platforms to ensure rock-solid reliability.
- You have structurally changed how your team works around AI. You can point to automated workflows, agentic systems, and AI-assisted tools you built that other developers now depend on daily to move faster.
- You treat infrastructure as code and have proven experience implementing robust data quality frameworks, observability, and automated monitoring.
- You are a natural leader who enjoys mentoring peers, driving code reviews, and influencing technical architecture decisions without needing someone to hold your hand.
