Position Description
The IDV / IDAR Specialist handles identity verification (IDV) and identity account recovery (IDAR) processes for external users of the FSA IAM systems. This role manages customer support through dedicated mailboxes, processes verification and recovery cases, ensures accurate handling of user information, and supports seamless access to FSA applications and services.
Responsibilities
The specialist monitors and responds to emails in key support mailboxes such as FSA ID Verify and ID Verification, assisting external users who need manual identity verification or account recovery. They process user-submitted identity documents, review information for accuracy, update case notes in the PAS Admin Tool, and close cases once verified. The role includes managing data related to user identities, supporting internal data sharing for fraud analysis, ensuring unique user identifiers and critical user information are properly handled, and maintaining accurate records for reporting. Additional responsibilities involve supporting content updates, access and use reporting, network-related user data capture, edge protection measures, analytic tagging or dynamic error messaging, application-specific information, and AIMS token management where needed for customer support.
Required Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail when reviewing identity documents and user information
- Excellent customer service and communication skills for interacting with external users
- Ability to handle sensitive personally identifiable information (PII) securely and confidentially
- Good organizational skills to manage multiple cases, mailboxes, and deadlines
- Basic understanding of identity verification and account recovery processes
- Proficiency with email systems, admin tools, and simple data entry
- Ability to follow detailed procedures while exercising good judgment on case handling
- Team-oriented with willingness to support peak periods and after-hours needs
- Clear written communication for case notes, notifications, and updates to users and team members

Salary Range
$66k-$92K
