## Solution Architect Enterprise Network Modernisation (Cisco SDA & Security) **Contract Opportunity Sydney, NSW On-Site** ## About the Company A well-established technology consultancy is seeking a seasoned **Solution Architect** to lead enterprise network modernisation initiatives across large and complex customer environments. The business delivers networking, cybersecurity, and infrastructure transformation services to a broad range of enterprise clients and is looking for an architect who can provide strategic direction while remaining close to technical delivery. ## The Opportunity This Sydney-based contract role will be responsible for designing and governing Cisco SDA-driven transformation programs, helping organisations transition from traditional network architectures to modern, software-defined environments. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, project teams, and technical specialists to develop architecture roadmaps, oversee migrations, and ensure successful delivery across networking and security domains. ## Key Duties - Define target-state network and security architectures leveraging Cisco SDA technologies. - Develop transition strategies for complex enterprise networking environments. - Lead discovery sessions and architecture workshops with business and technical stakeholders. - Create architecture deliverables including solution designs, migration plans, implementation documentation, and technical standards. - Provide architectural oversight throughout deployment and transition activities. - Evaluate technical risks, dependencies, and operational considerations associated with migration programs. - Work alongside engineering and project teams to ensure architecture alignment during delivery. - Engage with customer leadership, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. - Ensure solutions align with security, compliance, supportability, and operational requirements. ## Experience Required - Extensive experience delivering solution architecture across enterprise network and security environments. - Strong expertise with Cisco SDA, Cisco DNA Center (DNAC), Cisco ISE, and campus networking technologies. - Previous involvement in large-scale migration, refresh, or network transformation programs. - Excellent stakeholder management and consulting capabilities. - Experience facilitating technical workshops and translating business requirements into solution designs. - Understanding of network automation, programmability, APIs, and platform integration. - Strong architecture governance, documentation, and technical design experience. - Ability to communicate effectively with both executive and technical audiences. ## Desired Certifications - CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security, or equivalent Cisco certifications. - Cisco SDA and DNA Center specialisations highly regarded. - Industry architecture, cloud, or cybersecurity certifications beneficial. ## What's on Offer - Contract engagement with an established technology consultancy. - On-site role based in Sydney, NSW. - Opportunity to lead high-profile enterprise network transformation initiatives. - Immediate start or short notice preferred. **This role is ideal for a Solution Architect who combines strong Cisco SDA expertise with enterprise consulting experience and a proven record of delivering complex network transformation projects.**
