**Solution Architect Cisco SDA Transition & Migration (Network & Security)** **Contract On-Site Perth, WA** **About the Opportunity** An established Australian IT services provider with extensive experience delivering technology solutions to small, medium, and large organisations is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead Cisco Software-Defined Access (SDA) transition and migration projects. The organisation specialises in managed IT services, network and security solutions, and works closely with clients to design and implement technology strategies that support business objectives. The team values technical excellence, customer focus, accountability, and clear communication. **Role Overview** This contract, on-site position is based in Perth, WA and focuses on designing and delivering end-to-end Cisco SDA migration and transition solutions across enterprise network and security environments. The successful candidate will assess existing network architectures, develop migration strategies and roadmaps, and provide technical leadership throughout design, implementation, testing, and cutover activities. **Key Responsibilities** - Design secure, scalable end-to-end Cisco SDA architectures covering campus LAN, WLAN, and security segmentation. - Assess existing network and security environments and define transition and migration strategies. - Produce high-quality architecture documentation, including high-level designs (HLDs), low-level designs (LLDs), diagrams, and implementation plans. - Facilitate stakeholder workshops and gather business and technical requirements. - Translate business objectives into practical technical solutions. - Provide technical guidance and support to project delivery teams during build, testing, and deployment phases. - Conduct risk, dependency, and impact assessments. - Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and client stakeholders. - Ensure solutions meet security, performance, operational, and scalability requirements. **Required Skills & Experience** - Strong Solution Architecture experience designing enterprise network and security solutions. - Proven hands-on experience with Cisco SDA, Cisco DNA Center (DNAC), Cisco ISE, and related technologies. - Experience delivering network transformation, transition, or migration projects. - Strong consulting and stakeholder engagement skills, including workshop facilitation and requirements gathering. - Knowledge of automation, orchestration, APIs, and integration principles within network and security platforms. - Experience aligning technical architectures with business processes, service delivery models, and organisational change requirements. - Excellent documentation skills, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and migration runbooks. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in customer-facing environments. **Desirable Qualifications** - CCNP Enterprise and/or CCNP Security. - Cisco SDA, DNAC, or other relevant Cisco specialisations. - Additional architecture or security certifications are advantageous. **Working Arrangement** - Contract engagement. - On-site in Perth, WA. - Immediate or short-notice availability preferred.
