Key Responsibilities - Design, develop and maintain high-performance applications using Rust. - Build reliable and scalable software components with a focus on efficiency and security. - Develop and integrate APIs, backend services and system-level applications. - Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code. - Identify performance bottlenecks and implement effective optimisation strategies. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. - Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation and continuous improvement initiatives. About You - To be successful in this role, you will have: - Commercial experience developing software using Rust. - Strong understanding of systems programming, memory safety and concurrency. - Experience building backend services, APIs or distributed systems. - Familiarity with Git, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines. - Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to work through complex technical challenges. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within an engineering team. Desirable experience: - Experience with Linux and cloud-based environments. - Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes or microservices architectures. - Knowledge of networking protocols, embedded systems or performance-critical applications.
