With a strong focus on modern engineering practices and continuous improvement, they are expanding their development team and looking for a talented Node.js Developer to help deliver their next phase of growth. ## The Role As a Node.js Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining high-performance backend services and APIs. Working closely with frontend developers, product managers and cloud engineers, you'll contribute to new product development while improving the scalability and reliability of existing applications. You'll have the opportunity to influence technical decisions, contribute to architecture discussions and work with a modern technology stack in a collaborative environment. ## Key Responsibilities - Design and develop scalable backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript. - Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices. - Integrate third-party services and internal platforms. - Work with cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. - Collaborate with frontend developers using React and other modern frameworks. - Write clean, maintainable code with appropriate testing and documentation. - Identify performance bottlenecks and implement technical improvements. - Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices. ## Skills & Experience - 3 years of commercial software development experience. - Strong experience with Node.js and JavaScript or TypeScript. - Solid understanding of REST APIs and backend application architecture. - Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB. - Familiarity with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform. - Experience with Git, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines. - Understanding of Docker and microservices architecture. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work within an agile team. ## What's on Offer? - Salary package of 130,000 160,000 Super. - Flexible hybrid working arrangements. - Opportunity to work on modern cloud-based applications. - Supportive engineering team with opportunities for professional development. - Exposure to technical design and architecture decisions. - Clear opportunities for career progression as the business grows. ## Interested?
