The business develops scalable software solutions for enterprise clients across logistics, financial services and supply chain management. With a growing customer base and several major platform initiatives underway, the company is looking for a talented Go Developer to help build reliable backend systems that can handle increasing workloads and complex integrations. THE ROLE As a Go Developer, you will work within a collaborative engineering team responsible for designing, developing and maintaining high-performance backend services. You will contribute to the architecture of distributed systems and help deliver secure, scalable APIs that support business-critical applications. Working closely with software engineers, product managers and DevOps specialists, you will have the opportunity to influence technical decisions and contribute to the development of modern cloud infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop backend services and microservices using Go (Golang). - Build and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations. - Develop scalable distributed systems and optimise application performance. - Work with Docker and Kubernetes to support containerised applications. - Implement automated testing and contribute to code reviews. - Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes. - Monitor production systems and troubleshoot performance or reliability issues. - Contribute to architectural discussions and engineering best practices. ABOUT YOU You are an experienced backend developer who enjoys solving complex technical problems and building software that performs reliably at scale. You take ownership of your work and thrive in an environment where engineers are encouraged to contribute ideas and continuously improve existing systems. To be successful, you will have: - 5 years of professional software development experience. - Strong commercial experience with Go (Golang). - Experience designing and building REST APIs and microservices. - Strong understanding of distributed systems and concurrent programming. - Experience with PostgreSQL or another relational database. - Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as AWS. - Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to contribute to technical design decisions. DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE - Experience with Kafka or other event-streaming technologies. - Exposure to Terraform or infrastructure as code. - Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana. - Experience working with high-throughput or low-latency systems.
