- ## Mid-Level DevOps Engineer ## Overview We are seeking a **Mid-Level DevOps Engineer** to help maintain and scale our cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance. Working within the Infrastructure Management team, you will play a key role in improving platform stability, automating processes, and enabling development teams to deliver software efficiently and safely. This is a hands-on position focused on **cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and developer enablement**. You will work with modern technologies, solve complex infrastructure challenges, and contribute to building a scalable engineering environment. ## Key Responsibilities ## Cloud Infrastructure & Operations - Manage, maintain, and optimise multi-environment cloud infrastructure to ensure reliability and uptime. - Monitor and support networking components, including routing, firewalls, VPN connections, and cloud connectivity. - Implement infrastructure best practices to support scalability, resilience, and security. - Identify opportunities to improve cloud efficiency and optimise costs. ## CI/CD & Infrastructure Automation - Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and efficient software delivery. - Develop reusable pipeline templates and automation frameworks to support engineering teams. - Create and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. - Troubleshoot deployment issues and resolve pipeline failures quickly. ## Developer Enablement - Partner with engineering teams to embed DevOps practices throughout the development lifecycle. - Create documentation, runbooks, and self-service tools to improve developer productivity. - Support teams with infrastructure knowledge, troubleshooting, and best practices. ## Monitoring & Incident Response - Maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions. - Investigate infrastructure issues, respond to incidents, and support timely resolution. - Assist with disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity activities. ## Team Collaboration & Improvement - Work collaboratively within the Infrastructure Management team to deliver technical projects. - Continuously identify opportunities to automate processes and improve engineering practices. - Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Provide after-hours support when required, including scheduled releases and incident response. ## Required Skills & Experience - 3 years experience working in a DevOps, SysOps, or CloudOps environment. - Strong hands-on experience managing cloud platforms such as **AWS and/or GCP**. - Practical experience with **Kubernetes** administration, configuration, and troubleshooting. - Strong knowledge of container technologies including **Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/GKE)**. - Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as: - GitHub Actions - GitLab CI - Buildkite - Bamboo - Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as **Terraform or CloudFormation**. - Strong scripting skills using languages such as **Python or Bash**. - Solid understanding of networking concepts including: - DNS - VPCs - Routing - Subnets - VPN connectivity ## Additional Skills - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. - Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to different audiences. - Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical industry experience. ## What Youll Bring You are a proactive engineer who enjoys improving systems, automating repetitive tasks, and working collaboratively with development teams.
