## Title **Data & Solution Architect Microsoft Fabric & Purview NZ110130 per hour** ## Company Take ownership of data architecture and delivery on a government client engagement. Youll build on an established Microsoft Fabric environment, shape its governance through Microsoft Purview, and turn critical enterprise data into trusted, production-ready data products. ## Responsibilities - Review the existing Microsoft Fabric environment, OneLake structure and operational framework, identifying improvements to support delivery at scale. - Define architectural standards, ingestion strategies and integration patterns, including Bronze, Silver and Gold Medallion Architecture layers. - Design and deliver 12 production-ready data products, covering ETL/ELT pipelines, transformations, storage and semantic models. - Design and implement Microsoft Purview architecture to support metadata management, automated scanning, data cataloguing, classification and end-to-end lineage. - Establish sensitivity labelling, access policies and data protection controls aligned with enterprise compliance requirements. ## Experience **Essential:** - Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Data Architect designing enterprise-grade, cloud-native data solutions. - Hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience across OneLake, Lakehouses, Warehouses, Dataflows Gen2, Data Factory and Direct Lake. - Strong Microsoft Purview architecture and implementation experience, including scanning, cataloguing, lineage and sensitivity classification. - Deep understanding of Medallion Architecture, data modelling, Data Mesh and data product principles. - Strong ETL/ELT engineering knowledge, including ingestion patterns, pipeline orchestration and metadata-driven frameworks. **Advantageous:** - Experience delivering data solutions within New Zealand Government or public sector agencies. ## Salary **NZ110130 per hour, negotiable depending on experience.** This full-time contract offers hybrid working and the opportunity to influence architecture, establish governance standards and deliver tangible data products within an already provisioned Microsoft Fabric platform. ## Location **Wellington, New Zealand Hybrid.** ## How to Apply Ready to put your Microsoft Fabric and Purview expertise into practice?
