We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (CNO) to own the CI/CD pipeline and container platform architecture for a program end-to-end, integrating DevSecOps across the development lifecycle and mentoring junior engineers.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Design and own the CI/CD pipeline and container/platform architecture for a program, end-to-end.
- Integrate DevSecOps practices (e.g., automated security scanning) across the development lifecycle.
- Administer GitLab and GitLab CI/CD as the team's CI/CD, source-repository, and issue-tracking platform.
- Design and implement infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) for reproducible environments.
- Own the reliability, performance, and security posture of the program's DevOps platform.
- Mentor junior DevOps engineers and review their pipeline and automation work.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Must be able to attain and maintain TS/SCI
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of relevant DevOps and software development experience. Master's degree in a related field will be considered in lieu of 2 years of experience (i.e., Master's and 3 years). PhD in a related field will be considered in lieu of 4 years of experience (i.e., PhD and 1 year)
- Designing and owning end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for a program
- GitLab and GitLab CI/CD administration (the team's CI/CD, source repository, and issue-tracking platform)
- Container/platform architecture (e.g., Docker, Docker Compose)
- DevSecOps integration across the development lifecycle
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading a technical effort
- Infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
- Artifactory (or equivalent) artifact repository administration
- Strong Linux administration and scripting (e.g., Python, shell)
- Multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud deployments
- Observability and reliability practices (e.g., SLOs, SLIs)
