Short Summary:
Parachute Health is seeking a Catalog Strategist & Taxonomist to enhance and manage their catalog of home medical equipment and supplies. This role involves overseeing taxonomy, information architecture, and catalog data model, with a focus on accuracy and scalability as the company expands.
Responsibilities:
- Own the standards and structure of the global product taxonomy, category hierarchy, and catalog data model.
- Maintain and evolve core catalog assets, including style guides and training materials.
- Serve as the catalog administrator, governing attributes and data-quality standards.
- Interview category managers to understand ideal states and current workarounds.
- Lead design reviews and provide feedback to category managers and analysts.
- Drive the identification of sourcing attributes and set strategic direction for catalog data management.
- Partner with R&D teams to shape catalog software capabilities and own enhancement requirements.
- Collaborate with the clinical division to launch new categories and advance AI-assisted catalog tooling.
Requirement:
- Deep expertise in taxonomy, information architecture, and metadata modeling for complex product catalogs.
- Experience administering catalog or product information management systems.
- Proven ability to turn ambiguous catalog problems into clear requirements.
- Strong cross-functional partnership skills and comfort in setting standards.
- Motivated to develop a team and open to management as the function matures.
- Healthcare or medical supplies domain experience is a plus.
