Senior Backend Engineer , Experience Edge

OX Security is securing the AI-driven SDLC from prompt to production. We’re building the next generation of security technology for a world where AI is changing how software is built, deployed, and attacked.

We’re looking for a sharp, experienced Backend Engineer to join our global Experience Edge team, in a fully remote role. This team owns where the OX platform meets the real world: the integrations customers work in every day, the reporting they act on, and the data behind both.

You’ll own features end to end, from concept to production. You’ll also hear from customers first-hand, since our engineers join customer and pre-sales calls, and what comes up there shapes what we build next.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own our third-party integrations end to end, from design and build through shipping and keeping them reliable at enterprise scale
• Build the platform’s reporting layer and the data model behind it, on high-volume, cloud-based infrastructure (MongoDB, ClickHouse, Redis, Kubernetes)
• Lead cross-team features, bringing engineers from Security and other groups along with you
• Get into any part of the system, understand it quickly, and solve the production challenges that matter most to our customers
• Work side by side with Product on RFEs, helping turn customer needs into the right technical solution
• Talk to customers directly as part of our Customer Focus Group, from pre-sales conversations to live escalations, and become a truly customer-centric engineer

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of hands-on backend development experience
• Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript (must-have)
• Solid grounding in modern data infrastructure such as MongoDB, Redis and ClickHouse
• Proven end-to-end ownership of features, from design through production, with production-grade code
• Comfortable getting into large, unfamiliar codebases and making them your own
• Excellent English, and enjoy being in front of customers
• A collaborative mindset, and a habit of leading by example
• The “AI-First” Spark: You are an early adopter of AI technologies and are passionate about finding ways to use AI to improve developer experience and system performance.

Nice to Have

• Experience in cybersecurity, DevOps or developer-facing products
• Kubernetes in production
• A track record of influencing and aligning engineers across teams.
