Junior UAE National PR Assistant

Job Overview

We're looking for an organised, creative and detail-oriented UAE National to join our Communications and PR team as a PR Assistant. In this role, you'll support the planning and delivery of public relations, media and communications activities that strengthen our brand presence and reputation across the region.

As a PR Assistant at Ounass, you'll work closely with the PR, communications, marketing, social media, creative and commercial teams. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in luxury fashion, e-commerce, media relations, events and brand communications within one of the Middle East's leading luxury e-commerce and technology businesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the PR and communications team with day-to-day administrative, coordination and operational activities.

• Assist with the planning and execution of media relations, brand campaigns, events, launches and other communications initiatives.

• Help prepare press releases, media alerts, briefing documents, presentations, reports and internal communications materials.

• Research relevant media outlets, journalists, influencers, publications and industry opportunities across the region.

• Maintain accurate media lists, contact databases, coverage trackers, campaign calendars and PR reports.

• Monitor daily media coverage, social conversations and industry news, sharing relevant updates with the team.

• Support the tracking, filing and reporting of press coverage, mentions, interviews and brand features.

• Coordinate the distribution of press materials, product information, samples, invitations and event communications.

• Assist with sample management, including organising, tracking, preparing and returning products for media and influencer activities.

• Support the organisation of press appointments, interviews, events, product launches and brand experiences.

• Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies, media contacts, partners and suppliers to ensure activities are delivered on time.

• Help ensure all communications materials reflect the brand's tone of voice, visual identity and luxury positioning.

• Assist with briefing documents and research for media meetings, interviews, events and executive engagements.

• Organise and maintain digital files, press assets, images, documents and operational records.

• Support additional communications, content and PR projects as required by the team.

What We're Looking For

• UAE National (Emirati) with eligibility to work in the UAE.

• Currently studying towards or recently completed a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Media, Fashion, Business or a related discipline.

• Previous internship or experience in PR, communications, marketing, media, events or luxury fashion is an advantage; however, training will be provided.

• Strong interest in luxury fashion, e-commerce, media, culture and brand communications.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and priorities.

• Creative, curious and confident in researching ideas, trends, media and relevant cultural developments.

• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, spreadsheets and digital communication tools.

• Proactive, reliable and willing to take ownership of tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Professional and confident when communicating with internal teams, external partners and media contacts.

• Collaborative approach to teamwork and the ability to build positive working relationships.

• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.

• Comfortable working with new technologies and learning internal systems quickly.
