SUMMARY: Will lead complex projects, mentor junior developers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. A Senior Software Developer should have a deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices, and be able to drive technical decisions.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design, architect, and develop scalable and maintainable software solutions.

Lead the software development lifecycle, including planning, development, and deployment.

Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical guidance and support.

Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.

Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and standards.

Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities in applications.

Evaluate and integrate AI-assisted development tools and AI-driven features where appropriate, including testing, documentation, and performance monitoring.

Apply responsible AI practices by protecting sensitive data, validating outputs for accuracy and bias, and ensuring solutions comply with security, risk, and governance requirements.

Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to improve software practices.

Assist in troubleshooting production issues and provide timely solutions.

Contribute to technical documentation and maintain comprehensive records of software functionality.

Lead critical projects and provide direction to the development team.

Make strategic architectural decisions that support and align with business objectives.

Ensure the delivery of high-quality, user-friendly software through best practices.

Work effectively with cross-functional teams to integrate new features and enhancements.

 

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Ability):

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience and education).

5+ years of professional experience in software development.

Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript).

Strong experience with web technologies and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Node.js).

In-Depth knowledge of database management (MS SQL).

Knowledge in Azure cloud services.

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, DevOps) and CICD processes.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with focus on user experience.

Understanding of microservices architecture and API Development.

Knowledge of DevOps best practices and tools for automated deployment.

Experience with security best practices and building secure applications.

Use of computer workstations at desk height and use of server consoles while standing. Installation, removal or termination of cabling, in communications closets and office settings. Occasional use of ladder to reach cables or hardware in ceilings or near top of computer hardware racks. Installation or removal of computer hardware into server racks.
