Senior Blue Yonder Platform Data Analyst

This is a REMOTE role. We are unable to sponsor employment authorization, now or in the future, for this role.
The Platform Data Analyst is responsible for translating transport platform data requirements into technical data models, schemas, and semantic layers that feed the global data warehouse. Working closely with product SMEs and the Global TMS Data Architect, this mid-to-senior level role bridges business data needs with technical implementation, ensuring data is properly structured, documented, and ready for reporting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with product SMEs and stakeholders to understand data requirements, business logic, and KPI definitions across transport platforms (starting with Blue Yonder)

• Develop data matrices, entity relationship diagrams (ERDs), and detailed data schemas for transport applications

• Design and document semantic layers that align to business processes and reporting needs

• Define data lineage, transformations, and integration points between platforms and the central data warehouse

• Support the Global TMS Data Architect in implementing and enforcing global data standards and governance

• Prepare comprehensive technical specifications and handoff documentation for the Central Data Asset (CDA) team

• Collaborate with Global Reporting Lead on analytics requirements and self-service reporting enablement

• Identify data quality issues and document data governance policies for assigned platforms

• Maintain and evolve data models as platforms and business processes evolve

Required Skills & Competencies

• SQL and relational database design (3+ years)

• Data modeling tools and ERD creation (Erwin, Lucidchart, or similar)

• ETL and data integration concepts (hands-on experience preferred)

• Understanding of data warehouse architecture and star schema design

• Strong communication skills—ability to translate between business and technical teams

• Requirements gathering and documentation skills

• Proficiency with Blue Yonder TMS or similar transport platforms (highly preferred)

• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Sigma, or Tableau)

Experience & Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)

• 5-8 years in data analysis, data engineering, or business intelligence roles

• Experience with global/multi-region implementations preferred

• Transport, logistics, or supply chain domain knowledge a plus

Nice-to-Haves

• Python or other scripting languages for data processing

• Cloud data warehouse experience (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)

• Exposure to metadata management tools

• Experience with Blue Yonder ecosystem products
