Senior Go Developer

MOR. AI is building the next generation of payment infrastructure — a Merchant of Record platform and a network of PayFacs. We’re looking for our first technical hire — someone who can take the product from 0 → 1, build the platform from scratch, and eventually grow into a CTO role. This is not a corporate job. You’ll own the architecture, infrastructure and delivery from day one. What you’ll do Architect and build the entire V1 platform from scratch in Go Own backend, APIs, infrastructure and complex billing systems Design and build MoR / PayFac architecture Work hands-on with payment infrastructure, acquirer integrations and card network rules Make key technical decisions and move fast Build and lead the engineering team as the company scales Take ownership of the technical function as the company grows What we’re looking for Payments experience is mandatory. We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience in payment infrastructure and payment systems, including PayFacs, acquirers and card networks. You should: Have strong backend engineering experience with Go / Golang Be able to independently architect and build a V1 product Be comfortable being the only developer for an extended period Have hands-on experience with payments Understand payment infrastructure, billing systems and MoR / PayFac architecture Think like a founder, not a corporate employee Be highly hands-on, fast and execution-oriented Be AI-native and use tools such as Cursor, Copilot, Claude, etc. to significantly accelerate development Have the ambition to build and lead an engineering team The opportunity Base salary: market or below-market Significant % of EBITDA — real profit sharing, not just illiquid equity Clear, performance-based path to CTO Become the first technical hire and have real ownership from day one If you’re looking for a comfortable corporate role, this is probably not for you.
