Senior individual contributor role to shape an AI-assisted AdTech product, own features end to end, and influence product, architecture and engineering culture in a hybrid Dublin team.

This is an opportunity to join a growing AdTech business helping advertisers connect with publishers across Connected TV and Digital Out-of-Home advertising.

Parts of the platform are currently configured using raw JSON. The goal is to build a far more intuitive, AI-assisted, self-service experience that helps customers configure the platform, manage integrations and understand reporting more easily.

As Founding Engineer, you'll take a leading role in making that happen. This is a senior individual-contributor role rather than a people-management position. You'll work directly with the founder, collaborate with an experienced engineering team and have significant autonomy over how products and features are designed and delivered.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own meaningful product areas from problem definition through design, delivery, production release and iteration
• Turn product direction into reliable software used by real customers
• Develop the platform's configuration, reporting and self-service experiences
• Build AI-assisted workflows that simplify technically complex processes
• Extend integrations with advertising demand and supply partners
• Work directly with customers and publishers on product and integration challenges
• Contribute to architecture and broader technical decisions
• Help establish engineering standards and working practices as the Dublin team grows
• Champion AI-assisted and agentic development practices

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Strong track record of shipping production software
• Comfortable owning problems rather than working from fully defined tickets
• Product-minded approach with an interest in why a feature is being built and how it affects users
• Able to work from a clear problem with an incomplete specification
• Comfortable making technical decisions and explaining the reasoning behind them
• Understanding of the considerations involved in high-throughput, low-latency systems
• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools seriously, with clear examples of how they improve your development process
• Desire to remain hands-on while influencing product and technical direction

Useful additional experience:

• Early-stage startup experience
• Experience with distributed, high-volume systems
• AdTech knowledge such as programmatic advertising, RTB, OpenRTB, Prebid or VAST
