Senior Regional Sales Manager - Southwest

Working with law enforcement, community corrections agencies and the court system, we provide customized offender management solutions that help to reduce recidivism and improve reentry success. These solutions combine electronic monitoring technology, alcohol and substance abuse testing, and community-based offender management programs.

Pay Range: $95,000/yr - $105,000/yr + commission

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for researching, identifying, and pursuing new sales opportunities within a specific assigned region (Territory includes UT, AZ, CO, NM, KS, OK, TX - Candidate must reside near a major airport within the territory). The Sales Manager will have a command of all products and services and the ability to effectively demonstrate this to prospective customers. The ultimate goal of the successful Sales Manager is to secure new business as demonstrated by producing fully executed contracts. Extensive travel (up to 50%) is expected.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned.
• Meet or exceed territory growth targets within established accounts on a quarterly and annual basis
• Conduct market research and develops a regional strategy for business growth by adding new customers
• Independently identify and pursue leads for new business at the local, state, and federal level
• Develop and deliver presentations and demonstrate GPS products and software to a variety of customers and potential customers ranging from top management to operational staff/users; this activity includes all offerings and equipment and the demonstration of software
• Provide customer feedback to management and makes constructive recommendations on required and/or desired enhancements to products and services
• Manage Value Added Resellers to ensure maximum performance
• Respond to various requests for proposals, invitations to bid, and other acquisition processes in a complete and timely manner
• Complete biweekly sales activity reports and sales forecast in a timely and complete manner; summarize all activity and include detailed contact information, meeting summaries, open action items and travel activity
• Work closely with account management staff to ensure existing contract renewal
• Attend trade shows, conferences, quarterly meetings, and other work-related events
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a valid driver’s license (if driving a customer- or company-owned vehicle)
Type and Length of Specific Experience Required:
• Experience in developing presentation material, making presentations, conducting training, and managing accounts
• Minimum of five (5) years of sales, account management, or criminal justice electronic monitoring experience
Knowledge and Skills Required:
• Microsoft Office training a plus.
• Ability to gain a thorough command of and ability to effectively demonstrate all company products and services
• Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
• Excellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office suite applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Ability to develop and implement effective sales plans
• Drive to take active role in self-development
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to work and communicate with Engineering, Production, Customer Service and Management staff
• Ability to work effectively in a sales team environment
• Highest personal and professional ethics and integrity
• Proficiency with Sales CRM systems

• Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Communication, or related field of study
• Previous experience working with criminal justice agencies
• Experience in project management and account management
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT:
• Office environment with minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures expected
• Major activities include working on PC while sitting, telephone use
• Physical effort is limited, to include standing, bending, light lifting, and limited stretching and reaching
• Must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law
