Responsibilities

Potential opportunities may exist within the following areas of International R&D:

Design Engineering

  • Support the design, development, and integration of commercial vehicle systems and components while collaborating across engineering disciplines to deliver innovative, reliable, and customer-focused transportation solutions.

Test Engineering

  • Contribute to the planning and execution of vehicle, system, and component testing by utilizing instrumentation, data acquisition, and analysis tools to evaluate performance, functionality, and durability.

Validation Engineering

  • Support validation activities that ensure vehicles and systems meet engineering requirements, performance targets, reliability expectations, and customer needs through real-world and controlled testing environments.

Operations Engineering

  • Support engineering operations through prototype builds, facility and proving ground activities, technical process improvements, and cross-functional coordination that enable successful product development and testing programs.

Quality Engineering

  • Help improve product quality and reliability by analyzing performance data, supporting root cause investigations, implementing corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement throughout the product development lifecycle.

  • Gain hands-on exposure to the design, development, testing, and validation of commercial trucks and school buses.
  • Contribute to projects involving current products as well as emerging technologies, including electric vehicles, advanced vehicle systems, software, and other next-generation transportation solutions.
  • Collaborate across engineering disciplines and with teams in manufacturing, quality, operations, procurement, and other business functions.
  • Build technical and professional skills through mentorship, networking, training, and development opportunities.
  • Make meaningful contributions to products and solutions that support International’s customers and help shape the future of commercial transportation.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science

Additional Requirements
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
