Short Summary:
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for driving business results through effective selection, training, and coaching of the store team in sales, customer service, merchandise presentation, operations, human resources, and loss prevention. This position is considered “in training” for a Store Manager role.
Responsibilities:
- Open and close store based on company guidelines.
- Manage loss prevention practices to safeguard company funds and inventory.
- Ensure effective execution of all sales promotions and communicate sales goals to staff.
- Demonstrate customer service techniques and assist in training staff.
- Maintain store appearance and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Educate staff on potential causes of shrink and ensure compliance with security policies.
Requirement:
- High school diploma/GED.
- 12–18 months retail supervisory experience.
- Ability to manage and coach staff.
- Operate POS and cash handling.
- Reliable transportation and meet age requirement (18+).
