Contract Senior Software Engineer - WebGL (Color/Graphics)

The role

You will diagnose and fix WebGL bugs in Gecko and improve its functionality and security within the Firefox graphics team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and fix WebGL bugs in Gecko (C++/Rust), including security bugs
• Write tests, work through code review with graphics module owners, and land fixes, with uplifts where needed.
• Keep the ongoing WebGL bug queue under control 

Definition of done

Reviewed WebGL fixes and new code landed with tests

Required qualifications

• Strong C++ (Rust a plus).
• Graphics / GPU experience, ideally WebGL.
• Security mindset, and comfort with sandbox and IPC architectures (WebGL is a security target).
• Strong debugging in a multithreaded codebase.

Preferred

• Prior browser-engine / Gecko experience.
• Security research or fuzzing experience.
