The Mission in Krakow:
Following the acquisition, our Krakow MSI engineering center is partnering directly with the D-Fend group to drive a technological transformation: moving a critical configuration application to the Cloud. We are assembling an elite, highly agile team capable of diving deep into the existing solution, leveraging Motorola’s vast cloud expertise, and delivering high-impact results at startup speed. Note on team scope: While primary UI/UX architecture and dedicated React development are owned by our neighboring team, we are seeking strong React/front-end proficiency in Krakow to boost team cross-functionality for front-end tasks, while keeping a core emphasis on backend and cloud readiness.

Job Description

We are building a powerhouse Cloud/Platform team in Krakow, and we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Cloud / React) to be a part of this group. You will play a crucial role in building cloud-native backend services for a massive multi-tenant SaaS distributed ecosystem, while providing essential React capabilities to handle front-end integrations and end-to-end features.

We are looking for a highly adaptable, heavyweight engineer who is "hot on code" and loves being deeply hands-on.

As a Senior Engineer in this elite team, you must be:

(Note: This is not a pure front-end engineer role. Primary web UI/UX frameworks are driven by our partner engineering team. However, our Krakow team operates with a strong 'You Build It, You Run It' full-stack culture: we need strong React/front-end skills to drive cross-functional feature delivery alongside robust Node.js and cloud backend development).

What You Will Do:

• Deliver Cross-Functional Front-End Tasks: Apply strong React skills to implement UI components, integrate front-end views with APIs, and collaborate smoothly with the front-end team.
• Write Exceptional Full-Stack Code: Write clean, maintainable TypeScript code across backend microservices (Node.js/NestJS) and front-end applications.
• Drive the Cloud Transition: Play a hands-on role in building and running multi-tenant SaaS applications designed specifically to take full advantage of cloud-native architecture.
• End-to-End Ownership: Take full ownership of features end-to-end — from API definition and backend microservices to front-end integration and automated deployments.
• Collaborate & Accelerate: Work shoulder-to-shoulder with senior peers across MSI and D-Fend to leverage shared expertise, unblock technical challenges, and deliver results rapidly.

Basic Requirements

• Experience & Full-Stack Mindset: 5+ years of software engineering experience with balanced backend capabilities and strong web front-end hands-on skills. You thrive in a dynamic, highly collaborative environment.
• Strong React Capabilities: Solid practical proficiency in React and TypeScript to handle front-end requirements independently and increase the Krakow team's overall cross-functionality.
• Node.js Experience: Solid experience with Node.js, TypeScript, REST/GraphQL APIs, and frameworks like NestJS or Express.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Experience building distributed services in major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) alongside relational databases (PostgreSQL) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Ability to coordinate smoothly with neighboring teams (such as front-end leads) to align on shared UI standards, components, and APIs.

Big Advantages (Bonus Points):

• Infrastructure as Code: Experience treating infrastructure as software using Terraform, Helm, or Serverless Framework.
• AI Tooling: Experience enriching and optimizing development using dev-assisting GenAI tools (such as GitHub Copilot, Claude or Cursor).
• Security & ZTA: Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) and mTLS.
• Data Scale: Experience with time-series telemetry pipelines and long-term storage tiering.
• Observability: Experience implementing and utilizing observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
