Developer/Programmer
position summary
Merjent, Inc. (Merjent) is seeking a Developer/Programmer to support internal application development and field data collection solutions. The Developer/Programmer will develop and maintain Fulcrum applications, custom tools, workflows, data events, and reporting solutions while supporting troubleshooting, documentation, and application deployment.
The ideal candidate will have experience with application development and JavaScript, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly. Familiarity with Fulcrum, GIS, JSON, APIs, workflow automation, or data-driven reporting solutions is preferred.
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position that can be based anywhere in the U.S. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $94,800 to $136,500, depending on qualifications and experience. This position is also bonus eligible.

responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Fulcrum applications, integrated workflows, and associated development frameworks.
- Create and maintain custom Fulcrum data events and PDF reports.
- Learn, maintain, and enhance custom tools and utilities used for rapid Fulcrum application deployment.
- Work alongside the lead developer to design scalable application architectures that can be deployed efficiently across multiple projects.
- Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and documenting changes to internal development tools.
- Help identify opportunities to improve development efficiency and application consistency.
- Serve as a point of contact for application support, troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Coordinate with Fulcrum support resources when platform-related issues arise.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining best practices for application design, deployment, and

- Communicate effectively with project teams to ensure applications meet project needs and operational requirements over the lifetime of the project.

qualifications and experience
required:
- Experience with application development.
- Experience with JavaScript.
- Ability to learn new technologies and software platforms quickly.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently while collaborating with a small team.
preferred:
- Experience with Fulcrum or other field data collection platforms.
- Familiarity with JSON, APIs, or workflow automation tools.
- Familiarity with ESRIs GIS products, ArcGIS Online environment, and Notebooks.
- Familiarity with Microsoft platforms such as Power BI and SharePoint
- Experience creating data driven PDF templates and reporting solutions.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
- Experience creating user documentation and training materials.
- Familiarity with GIS, environmental consulting, field operations, or compliance operations is a plus.
