About the Role

McKesson is seeking a Sr. Solution Architect, Core Finance to lead enterprise-wide finance transformation initiatives supporting General Ledger, Treasury, and core finance capabilities. This role combines deep business process expertise, solution architecture leadership, and transformation experience to design and deliver scalable SAP S/4HANA solutions that drive measurable business value.

As a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders, you will translate complex business requirements into strategic architecture roadmaps, develop data-driven business cases, and lead large-scale modernization efforts. You will partner across finance, technology, and operations teams to deliver integrated solutions that support McKesson's long-term growth and transformation objectives.

What You'll Do

• Lead architecture strategy, roadmap development, and solution design for SAP S/4HANA Finance, General Ledger, Treasury, and related finance processes.

• Serve as the architecture lead for large-scale finance transformation and ERP modernization programs.

• Conduct current-state assessments, fit-gap analyses, and future-state architecture planning.

• Develop and validate business cases, value realization models, ROI analyses, and transformation strategies.

• Design end-to-end solutions integrating SAP S/4HANA Finance with SAP MM, SAP SD, and enterprise platforms.

• Provide leadership across architecture governance, solution reviews, standards, and implementation oversight.

• Partner with business stakeholders, system integrators, and technology teams to align process, data, and technology strategies.

• Communicate architectural decisions, risks, and recommendations to executive and non-technical audiences.

Basic Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, SAP finance technology, or related enterprise systems leadership roles.

• 7+ years of experience supporting Finance business processes including General Ledger, Treasury, Cash Management, Financial Close, and Record-to-Report.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions.

• Experience integrating SAP Finance solutions with SAP MM and SAP SD modules.

• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale finance, ERP, or digital transformation programs.

• Proven experience developing business cases, financial analyses, investment justifications, and executive recommendations.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Experience in management consulting, business process consulting, finance transformation consulting, or strategy consulting.

• SAP Finance configuration knowledge including General Ledger, Treasury, Cash Management, and related finance capabilities.

• Experience defining enterprise architecture standards, governance processes, and target-state roadmaps.

• Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, APIs, event-driven architectures, and data management practices.

• Experience operating within regulated, highly complex, or global business environments.

• Familiarity with TOGAF, enterprise architecture frameworks, cloud platforms, DevOps, and modern engineering practices.

• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or large organizational transformation initiatives.

• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership capabilities.

Travel, Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel up to 20% as business needs require.

• Hybrid work arrangement may be required based on business and team needs.

• Ability to participate in extended virtual and in-person meetings and work effectively in a technology-enabled environment.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
