McKesson is seeking a highly specialized Laboratory Solutions Specialist to support laboratory growth initiatives across our Northeast Territory, including New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Because a significant concentration of customers and business opportunities are located within the New York metropolitan area, candidates residing in New York City or Northern New Jersey are strongly preferred.
This is a consultative laboratory sales role focused on driving growth of laboratory instrumentation, reagents, and consumables while partnering with healthcare organizations and laboratory leaders throughout the region. We are specifically seeking professionals who are already established within the laboratory diagnostics industry and possess experience supporting one or more of the following laboratory specialties:

Immunoassay
The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of laboratory operations, experience selling diagnostic products or instrumentation, and an established network within the laboratory community. In this role, you will identify and develop new laboratory business opportunities, support customer equipment implementations, drive reagent and consumable growth, and collaborate closely with McKesson sales teams and supplier partners to expand market share throughout the Northeast Territory.
Compensation

Base Salary: $115,000 - $130,000

Target Incentive: $60,000

Key Responsibilities
Drive Laboratory Sales Growth
-
Identify, develop, and close new laboratory equipment and diagnostic sales opportunities.

Expand business within existing accounts while driving growth through new customer acquisition.

Achieve territory sales objectives for instrumentation, reagents, and consumables.
Build Strategic Customer Relationships
-
Develop relationships with laboratory leaders, healthcare providers, and key decision-makers.

Understand customer needs and recommend solutions that improve operational and clinical performance.

Establish trusted partnerships that support long-term customer success.
Lead Equipment Implementation & Expansion
-
Support laboratory equipment evaluations, implementations, installations, and customer acceptance.

Drive menu expansion opportunities and promote utilization of reagents and consumables.

Assist customers with laboratory planning and equipment placement decisions.
Collaborate, Educate & Influence
-
Partner with McKesson sales teams, supplier partners, and internal stakeholders to identify and develop opportunities.

Provide laboratory expertise throughout the sales process.

Support proposal development, laboratory planning, and customer presentations.
Minimum Qualifications
-
4+ years of relevant experience
-
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

7 year motor vehicle record check completed as part of pre-employment

Laboratory diagnostics sales experience

Experience selling laboratory instrumentation

Experience selling laboratory reagents and consumables

Acute Care or Non-Acute Care laboratory experience

Experience working with Chemistry, Hematology, or Immunoassay testing environments

Experience using Salesforce or comparable CRM platform

Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or related field, or equivalent experience

Work Environment

Field-based sales role supporting customers throughout the Northeast Territory, including New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.

Frequent travel throughout the assigned geography.

Combination of customer-facing meetings, laboratory visits, supplier collaboration, and home-office work.

Preferred residence: New York City or Northern New Jersey.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Total Target Cash (TTC) Pay Range for this position:
$156,800 - $261,300Total Target Cash (TTC) is defined as base pay plus target incentive.
