Job Description:
The Equity Specialist is the equity compensation subject matter expert within the Equity Management team. The role defines how new features are tested, confirms that work meets equity compensation requirements, and guides teams through scoping and process decisions. The Equity Specialist works closely with the Product Owner, Engineering, and Quality Assurance (QA) to help deliver accurate, reliable equity management software.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Strategy and Planning
- Create test strategies for new Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), setting how each feature will be tested.
- Create test plans for PRD-related work items that apply to equity compensation.
- Work with the Product Owner and Engineering to update and improve test strategies.
- Work with the Product Owner, Engineering, and QA to update and improve test plans.
- Validate technical designs and workflows to ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and global equity plan requirements.
- Provide guidance on data structures, integration points, and reporting needs related to equity plans.
Scoping and Collaboration
- Scope work items for upcoming sprints.
- Join scoping calls for other teams to provide equity compensation input.
Quality Review
- Review test cases written by QA to confirm they reflect equity compensation requirements.
- Review QA test executions to confirm results are accurate and complete.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to advise on product roadmap adjustments.
Expertise and Process Improvement
- Serve as a go-to resource for equity compensation knowledge across teams.
- Help create new processes and improve existing ones.
Qualifications:
- Certified Equity Professional (CEP) Level 3 preferred; willingness to work toward certification.
- 3+ years of experience in equity compensation administration or consulting.
- Working knowledge of global equity plans, tax compliance for equity compensation, and accounting standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to create, understand, and review complex test strategies and test plans to ensure equity compensation standards are followed.

- Test strategies and test plans are clear, complete, and ready for review by the team.
- Equity compensation requirements are accurately reflected in test cases and test results.
- Testing is efficient while also mitigating risk to an acceptable level.
- Sprint work is well scoped, and processes become easier to follow over time.
For sales roles, this range includes the commission target. For non-sales roles, this is a base salary only range; additional bonus eligibility may apply.
