Senior Murex Risk Developer

Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, are looking for Software Engineers. The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising, and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches. The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia. You will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and support Murex FO and BO functionalities based on business and technical requirements.
• Analyze requirements and perform impact analysis for Murex enhancements and change requests.
• Support trade simulation, trade lifecycle, and trade processing across Front Office and Back Office.
• Work on Murex functionality related to Trade P&L, derivatives pricing, and valuation.
• Support Treasury Operations-related requirements and troubleshoot functional issues.
• Perform investigation and root cause analysis of Murex application issues.
• Develop and execute SQL queries using SQL Server 2012 for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, and production implementation activities.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Risk, Treasury, QA, and technology teams.
• Prepare technical documentation and support release and deployment activities.
• Provide production support and ensure timely resolution of Murex-related issues.

SKILLS

Must have

• 6–9 years of experience in Murex development, implementation, or application support.
• Strong hands-on experience with Murex FO and/or BO.
• Good understanding of Murex trade processing and lifecycle.
• Experience in Murex development, configuration, enhancement, or troubleshooting.
• Good knowledge of SQL Server 2012 and SQL queries.
• Understanding of financial markets and trading processes.
• Experience with requirements analysis, impact analysis, testing, and production support.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in Treasury Operations. • Exposure to Trade Simulation. • Knowledge of Trade P&L. • Experience with Derivatives Pricing and Valuation.
