QA Automation Engineer

Project description

Our client is a leading global Financial markets data provider who runs a number of change programs to deliver of high-quality software that connects Financial Markets across the globe in a real-time, high frequency and low-latency data management chain. The projects are technically challenging in an environment that is very engaging. We are looking for the regular Python/Robot QA automation to join customer team that works within Scrum/Agile. Proactive and responsible colleague who can reinforce our QA team in automation of Enterprise API testing.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet customer needs
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
• Monitor debugging process results
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
• Use AI to genenerate test plans and test scripts

SKILLS

Must have

• Ability to build/run C/C++/Java/C# applications (at least one of the languages) is a must
• Experience and strong knowledge of Python/Robot automation is a must
• A good Unix and Windows background
• Experience in client server application automation testing
• Git: Strong knowledge
• Scripting languages: Bash

Nice to have

• Experience with languages Java, C++, C# to alter code for testing • Knowledge in networking principles, TCP/IP, UDP • Familiarity with banking, financial concepts, financial data and market data • Knowledge of protocols and any experience with client/server implementations/API or testing message sequences over socket/websocket connections is a nice to have • Knowledge of tools such as git, Jira, TestRail, Confluence is a nice to have • Very good communication skills - both verbal and written  • Experience working in R&D / Agile environments and with distributed teams  • Upper intermediate and above English   • Ability and will to make decisions and prove and defend them  • Ability to document and communicate concepts at multiple levels  • Good analytical skills and readiness to perform alternatives analysis and to find the best possible option  • Quick learner, willingness to learn new technologies and to do research on your own • Team player - ability to work in distributed teams, contribute to collaborative team success, treat team / product success as personal goal  • Result-oriented mindset  • Experience working in multicultural environment • Able to work independently with defined problems on a senior level in certain areas of technical or business expertise
