WHO ARE YOU?
Passionate and motivated. Driven, with an entrepreneurial spirit. Resourceful, innovative, forward thinking and committed. At Live Nation Entertainment, our people embrace these qualities, so if this sounds like you then please read on!
You're early in your analytics career, but you bring strong curiosity, ownership, and attention to detail. You do not simply build what is asked without thinking through whether the data makes sense. You ask clarifying questions, check your work, document assumptions, and want to understand the business problem behind the report.
You enjoy turning data into useful information. You are comfortable learning new tools, working with imperfect data, and receiving feedback. You care about accuracy and understand that dashboards are only valuable when the numbers are trusted and the story is clear.
THE ROLE
As the Data Analyst for Cyber Security Metrics & Reporting, you will support the Strategy team by helping build, maintain, validate, and improve dashboards and reports used to understand Cyber Security performance, goals, risks, and operational trends.
This role is hands-on and execution-focused, but it requires more than dashboard building. The Data Analyst will be expected to develop strong habits around data validation, quality checks, documentation, and insight development.
This person will help ensure reporting outputs are accurate, clear, and connected to the operational questions the Cyber Security organization is trying to answer.
The ideal candidate is not expected to be a senior analytics expert on day one. However, they must show strong analytical curiosity, a willingness to learn, accountability for quality, and the ability to explain what they see in the data. This role is remote and based in the United States.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
-
Build, update, and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations that support Cyber Security metrics and reporting needs.
-
Support recurring executive and operational reporting for Cyber Security goals, KPIs, risks, trends, and performance.
-
Gather and organize reporting requirements from stakeholders with guidance from the Strategy team.
-
Ask clarifying questions to understand the purpose of a report, the audience, and the decision the report is intended to support.
-
Use SQL and reporting tools to extract, clean, organize, and analyze data from multiple sources.
-
Perform basic data validation checks before sharing dashboards or reports, including checking totals, filters, joins, date ranges, duplicates, missing values, and metric logic.
-
Document assumptions, data sources, calculations, and known limitations in dashboards and reports.
-
Identify when data does not look right and escalate questions or concerns before publishing or presenting results.
-
Support exploratory analysis to identify trends, anomalies, patterns, and potential areas for follow-up.
-
Help translate data into simple summaries that explain what changed, where it changed, and why it may matter.
-
Partner with Cyber Security teams to better understand operational processes, source systems, and metric definitions.
-
Assist with data cleanup, reporting automation, and process improvement efforts.
-
Learn and apply best practices for dashboard design, data storytelling, quality control, and stakeholder communication.
-
Use AI-assisted tools responsibly where appropriate to support learning, documentation, SQL troubleshooting, and productivity, while validating outputs before use
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
-
2-4 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, operations analytics, cybersecurity analytics, business analytics, or a related role.
-
Working knowledge of SQL, including joins, filtering, aggregations, and troubleshooting basic query issues.
-
Experience building dashboards or reports in Tableau, Power BI, Domo, Looker, or a similar BI platform.
-
Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, data cleaning, and basic analysis.
-
Ability to review data carefully and identify inconsistencies, missing information, or results that do not make sense.
-
Strong attention to detail and willingness to check work before sharing it.
-
Ability to summarize findings clearly and concisely for non-technical audiences.
-
Ability to connect how the business operates and how data connects to real-world processes.
-
Strong communication skills and willingness to ask questions when requirements are unclear.
-
Ability to receive feedback, revise work, and improve over time.
-
Comfort working independently in a remote environment while keeping stakeholders informed.
-
Strong documentation habits, including documenting processes, tracking data sources, assumptions, logic, and open questions.
Strongly Desired Qualifications
-
Experience with Tableau.
-
Experience with Python for data cleaning, analysis, validation, or automation.
-
Familiarity with Databricks, Databricks SQL, notebooks, data lakes, or cloud analytics platforms.
-
Exposure to Cyber Security, risk, compliance, technology operations, incident management, change management, vulnerability management, or IT operations.
-
Familiarity with AI-assisted tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Databricks Assistant, or similar tools.
-
Experience creating written summaries, business insights, or dashboard narratives.
-
Experience working with multiple data sources or messy datasets.
-
Interest in developing toward a senior BI, analytics, or data storytelling role.
What Success in This Role Looks Like
-
Builds dashboards and reports that are clear, organized, and aligned to stakeholder needs.
-
Checks their work before sharing it.
-
Identifies when numbers do not make sense and raises concerns early.
-
Documents data sources, assumptions, calculations, and known limitations.
-
Asks thoughtful questions instead of waiting for every detail to be provided.
-
Improves the quality and reliability of reporting over time.
-
