Senior Project Manager (f/m/x)

LiveEO’s ambitious goal is to monitor 1 billion assets across the globe with its unique SaaS solution until 2030. Our team is as global as the satellite data we process and the customers we serve. We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of our geospatial and satellite-imagery projects. You’ll make sure every project is delivered to specification, on time and on budget. Just as importantly, you’ll make sure it solves the customer’s real problems and delivers measurable results.

Customer delivery

• Scope management: define and confirm areas of interest, deliverables, data requirements and acceptance criteria with the customer; control scope changes and change requests;

• Schedule management: plan and track timelines that account for satellite acquisition windows, weather/cloud cover, data availability and processing lead times;

• Cost management: plan and control project budgets, including imagery/data procurement and processing costs;

• Quality management: set quality benchmarks and acceptance criteria for geospatial deliverables; coordinate quality assurance and quality control and drive resolution of findings;

• Resource management: plan and negotiate capacity across cross-functional teams;

• Risk management: identify, assess and mitigate delivery risks (e.g. data acquisition, customer input data, processing, accuracy); build contingency plans;

• Procurement & third-party management: coordinate with data and imagery providers and other external suppliers;

• Stakeholder & communications management: manage expectations of customer and internal stakeholders at all levels, including senior decision makers; provide clear, regular status reporting;

• Lessons learned & continuous improvement: capture learnings after each project and shape delivery methodology and good practices.

Technical account management

• Participate in customer calls and communicate details of LiveEO's technical capabilities to the interested customer, help to set and manage expectations;

• Build a deep understanding of the customer's business, operational processes, systems, data and pain points;

• Apply a value framework to articulate how the delivered solution addresses each customer pain point and what measurable value it creates;

• Act as the trusted technical counterpart for the customer throughout the delivery and beyond, ensuring adoption of the delivered solution;

• Feed customer insights and recurring pain points back to product and commercial teams;

• Create technical presentations demonstrating how our product meets client needs.

Must have:

• 5+ years in project management, sales engineering or professional services engineering, with a degree in business, IT, geoinformatics, remote sensing, surveying or engineering;

• Proven end-to-end delivery of complex projects: planning, risk assessment and contingency planning across interdependent workstreams, grounded in agile practices;

• Experience managing senior customer stakeholders, including negotiating scope, timelines and change requests, with a strong drive to engage directly with customers in professional working English;

• Track record of shaping delivery methodology and good practices, and of building reports and dashboards that make project status and performance visible and drive improvement;

• Leads by influence rather than authority, and works independently, reliably and efficiently;

• Hands-on experience with GIS solutions; previous experience in the earth observation or GIS industry is a plus

• Daily, hands-on use of AI tools and agents (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) to speed up planning, reporting, analysis and documentation.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of satellite technology and knowledge of ML and DL algorithms;

• Working knowledge in a modern programming language, preferably Python;

• Professional Project Management Certification from accredited institution;

• Domain knowledge in utility vegetation management, transmission & distribution or rail asset data (e.g. PLS-CADD), LiDAR or photogrammetry;

• Other language skills.
