Job Description:
Business Systems Manager
Point Quest Group | Denver, CO Preferred or Hybrid) | Reports to Director of Finance
About Us
Point Quest Group is a private equity–backed, multi-entity platform delivering special education and related services to school districts and charter schools. We partner with more than 360 districts and charters, supporting thousands of students ages 3–22 each year, and we’re scaling rapidly through organic growth and acquisition — building the systems, team, and discipline of a much larger company than we are today.
The Opportunity
Growth through acquisition has left Point Quest with a patchwork of billing and scheduling systems across our entities — each with its own data, workflows, and quirks. This role exists to bring that landscape together: map how every system works today, design how they should connect, and lead the harmonization that gives the business one consistent view of scheduling, service delivery, and billing.
You’ll analyze our broader systems environment — including Workday, our ERP, and the operational platforms our entities run on — and serve as the bridge between business leaders, functional teams, IT, and vendors, turning a stream of requests into a prioritized roadmap that delivers measurable value. You’ll also help shape our data warehouse and the reporting built on it, so harmonized data turns into insight leadership can act on.
If you’re an experienced business systems professional who likes untangling complex, multi-system environments — and you want your work to support services that change outcomes for kids — this is that seat.
What You’ll Do
Billing & Scheduling Systems Harmonization
- Inventory and document the billing and scheduling systems in use across our entities — data structures, workflows, integrations, and pain points.
- Design and lead the roadmap to tie these systems together and harmonize them, whether through integration, standardization, or consolidation.
- Define common data standards, definitions, and processes so scheduling, service delivery, and billing data flow consistently across the platform.
- Partner with Operations and Finance to close gaps between scheduled services, delivered services, and what gets billed.
- Build a repeatable playbook for bringing newly acquired entities onto the platform’s systems and standards.
Data Warehouse & Reporting
- Help design and build out the data warehouse — defining source-system feeds, data models, and the business logic that ties scheduling, billing, operational, and financial data together.
- Partner with Finance, FP&A, and Operations to gather reporting requirements and design reports and dashboards that answer the questions leaders actually ask.
- Establish a single source of truth for key metrics — consistent definitions, documented calculations, and reconciliation back to source systems.
- Own data quality monitoring, so issues are caught and fixed upstream rather than in the report.
- Ensure new systems and acquired entities feed the warehouse cleanly and on a consistent standard.
Systems Analysis & Administration
- Analyze the broader systems landscape — including Workday, our ERP, and operational platforms — and recommend improvements that support scale.
- Support configuration, security, reporting, and audit/compliance needs across business systems.
- Manage provisioning and access control in line with audit and security protocols.
Governance & Prioritization
- Act as the liaison between business leaders, functional teams, and IT to prioritize system initiatives aligned with value creation goals.
- Establish and lead business systems governance — managing the backlog, evaluating enhancement requests, and aligning priorities with executive sponsors.
- Give executives and stakeholders clear visibility into system maturity, project milestones, and ROI.
Project Delivery, Integrations & Adoption
- Lead system projects end to end — requirements, scoping, vendor selection, testing, training, and adoption.
- Partner with integration vendors and consultants to deliver scalable solutions and smooth deployments.
- Develop and deliver end-user training and self-service tools that drive adoption and improve the user experience.
What You’ll Bring
- Solid, hands-on experience as a business systems analyst in a high-growth, multi-system environment.
- A track record of integrating or harmonizing disparate systems and data — ideally billing, scheduling, or other operational platforms.
- A strong understanding of business processes across Operations, Finance, and HR, including end-to-end workflows such as schedule-to-bill and lead-to-cash.
- Strong data skills — comfortable mapping data across systems, writing requirements, and validating that what goes in matches what comes out.
- Experience helping design a data warehouse and the reporting layer on top of it, including data modeling and translating business questions into reporting requirements.
- Experience with system governance, project oversight, vendor management, and change management.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and partner with senior executives.
- A collaborative communicator who reaches across divisions and departments — no siloed work here.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a deadline-driven, PE-backed setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a private equity–backed or multi-entity environment, including integrating systems after an acquisition.
- Experience with Workday and with NetSuite or a comparable ERP.
- Hands-on SQL and familiarity with modern data warehouse and BI platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure/Fabric, Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with integration tools (APIs, middleware/iPaaS, ETL/ELT pipelines).
- Background in education, healthcare, staffing, or another services business where scheduling and billing drive the P&L.
Location & Work Arrangement
Ideally this candidate would be in Denver, though we are open to any geography. If in Denver, we expect you to come into the office as needed to collaborate in person with Finance, and Operations — particularly around major releases, go-lives, and key planning moments. The cadence is flexible and built around the work, not the calendar.
Why You’ll Like It Here
- Mission that matters — every entity on this platform serves students who need real support.
- Real ownership — you’ll own the systems roadmap, not just a ticket queue.
- Broad exposure — systems, data, and reporting across HR, Finance, Operations, and executive leadership, all in one seat.
- Build for scale — help shape the systems of a much larger company as the platform grows through acquisition.
- Values we live by — students first, a growth mindset, courageous leadership, and a culture of collaboration, fun, and determination.
- Comprehensive benefits — medical, dental, and vision; FSA and dependent care; 401(k); paid sick leave, holidays, and vacation.
- Compensation Range: $125-$150k, DOE. Reports to Director of Finance
