Short Summary:
LightEdge Solutions is developing IT solutions to propel businesses forward. The Data Center Tier II Technician will manage and maintain data centers, ensuring high standards for availability, security, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
- Work with personnel, contractors, and vendors to diagnose and troubleshoot data center hardware issues.
- Install servers and networking equipment into racks with associated network cabling.
- Facilitate new client service installations with project managers and technicians.
- Handle firmware and physical hardware upgrades, port identification, and document shipments.
- Respond to alarm events affecting infrastructure and services.
- Follow Change Control processes and assist in the design and documentation of new racks and cages.
- Be available for on-call rotation to support after-hours activities and client support.
- Travel to remote data center sites for custom hardware buildouts if necessary.
- Share technical knowledge and operational experience with team members.

Requirement:
- A minimum of a two-year technical degree or 4 to 8 years of equivalent experience.
- Experience in network cabling termination (Ethernet, CAT6, fiber).
- Familiarity with operating systems and system hardware.
- Strong skills in computer hardware/software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- General understanding of cooling systems in data centers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
