Business Development Specialist, Attractions

Leap Event Technology is a remote-friendly company. This position is open to any candidate in North America.

WHO WE ARE:

Leap is revolutionizing the event technology industry by empowering organizers to create experiences that are more engaging, more thrilling, and more impactful than ever before. Our all-in-one suite of ticketing, mobile apps, experiential marketing, and patron management tools, combined with our expert marketing services, allows organizers to drive nonstop engagement and capture all customer data across the entire guest journey.

In Attractions, that means powering timed-entry ticketing, capacity management, pricing analytics, and guest data for immersive experiences, touring exhibitions, seasonal attractions, and location-based entertainment. Iconic brands like Burning Man, D23, The Friends Experience, New York Comic Con, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Fanatics Fest, and the NFL choose us to power their events.

Sounds interesting? Let’s talk.

THE ROLE

We’re seeking an energetic, highly organized Business Development Specialist to join our Attractions team and help grow one of Leap’s fastest-moving verticals. You’ll power the attractions pipeline and keep its deals moving, from mapping the market and booking discovery meetings to qualifying inbound interest, preparing proposals, and making sure every follow-up lands.

You’ll work hand in hand with our Head of Attractions and the wider commercial team, including Sales, Accounts Management, Client Partnerships, Sales Engineering and Enablement, and you’ll get a front-row seat to how deals in immersive and location-based entertainment come together. Expect your time to split roughly 60% building pipeline and 40% supporting active deals.

If you’ve ever walked out of an immersive exhibit or seasonal attraction wondering how it all runs behind the scenes, we’d love to hear from you.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Build the Attractions pipeline

• Own the Attractions market map. Build and maintain a target list of attractions operators including immersive experiences, touring exhibitions, museums, seasonal and holiday attractions, family entertainment centers, and themed LBE venues. Map the decision makers at each.
• Run targeted outreach. Plan and execute personalized, multi-channel campaigns (email, phone, and LinkedIn) to book net-new discovery meetings for the Attractions team.
• Qualify inbound interest. Be the first point of contact for attractions inquiries, qualify fit and timing quickly, and route strong leads to the right Account team member.
• Revive stalled opportunities. Partner with appropriate Account team members to re-engage prospects that have gone quiet, especially ahead of seasonal launches and new openings.
• Make the most of industry events. Lead pre-show and post-show outreach for attractions conferences such as IAAPA Expo: research attendees, book on-site meetings, and follow up promptly afterward.

Support active deals

• Prepare for meetings. Pull together account research, attendee bios, and talking points before discovery calls and demos.
• Keep follow-through tight. Capture meeting notes, discovery insights, and action items, then coordinate next steps across Sales, Account Management, Sales Engineering, and Onboarding and Implementation.
• Build proposals and RFP responses. Work with Sales Enablement to assemble customized proposals, pricing quotes, presentations, and RFP responses for attractions clients.
• Keep Salesforce accurate. Log activity, update account and opportunity records, and maintain clean pipeline data so the team can forecast with confidence.
• Share what you're seeing. Track openings, expansions, and trends across the attractions industry, and bring insights back to Sales, Marketing, and Product.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor’s degree or at least 3 years of relevant work experience (attractions, live entertainment, hospitality, ticketing, or sales all count)
• 1 to 3 years of experience in sales coordination, sales development (SDR/BDR), business development, or a client-facing role, ideally in SaaS, ticketing, or live entertainment
• Clear, warm, and confident communication by email, phone, and video, with the ability to speak credibly with Attraction operators, producers, and venue teams
• Strong organization skills and a habit of following through without being asked, and a knack for building processes that keep the team running smoothly
• Experience with Salesforce or another CRM
• Comfort working remotely and managing your own priorities as a self-starter
• A curious, proactive mindset: you anticipate what the team and prospects need next and are eager to learn the business

YOU’LL THRIVE HERE IF…

• You can’t visit an attraction without noticing the entry line, ticket flow, and what’s driving the gift shop
• You follow what’s opening, touring, and expanding in immersive and location-based entertainment
• You like being the person who keeps a deal moving and makes everyone around you more effective

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience working at or with an attraction, museum, immersive experience, theme park, or touring exhibition (operations, guest services, ticketing, or marketing all count)
• Familiarity with ticketing or guest experience technology
• Familiarity with the attractions industry, its associations and events (IAAPA, TEA)
• Experience helping with RFPs, pricing quotes, or sales proposals

BENEFITS:

We offer

• Medical, Dental, Vision, and Voluntary benefits
• Generous PTO
• Paid parental leave (following 12 months of continuous employment)
• 401K Match
• $200 event reimbursement
• Access to learning & development opportunities through our LMS platform and peer-to-peer LeapU program
