Middle SEO/GEO Growth Specialist

We’re looking for an SEO/GEO Growth Specialist to help drive organic discovery and growth in an increasingly AI-driven digital landscape. This is a growth-focused, non-engineering role combining SEO, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), content-led discovery, experimentation, and data-driven optimization. The ideal candidate understands how users discover information through both traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered platforms and can turn those insights into actionable growth strategies. An AI-forward mindset and willingness to experiment with new tools and approaches are important for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute SEO and GEO strategies to increase qualified organic discovery and visibility.
• Identify opportunities to improve how users discover, evaluate, and engage with products and content.
• Optimize digital experiences for both traditional search engines and AI-powered search and answer engines.
• Analyze search behavior, traffic, engagement, customer journeys, and conversion data to identify growth opportunities.
• Conduct keyword, search-intent, competitor, and content research.
• Develop and run experiments across content, landing pages, messaging, information architecture, and other discovery experiences.
• Monitor changes in search algorithms, AI search behavior, and emerging discovery platforms.
• Work closely with content, marketing, product, design, and technical teams to execute growth initiatives.
• Define and track KPIs for SEO/GEO initiatives and use performance data to continuously optimize strategies.
• Explore and implement AI-powered tools and workflows to improve research, content development, analysis, and experimentation.
• Communicate insights, recommendations, and experiment results clearly to stakeholders.

Core Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in SEO, organic growth, growth marketing, content strategy, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of SEO, organic acquisition, search intent, keyword strategy, and content optimization.
• Understanding of GEO / Generative Engine Optimization and how AI is changing search and digital discovery.
• Experience using analytics and data to identify growth opportunities and measure performance.
• Experience designing or executing experiments and optimization initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of how content and digital experiences influence organic discovery and engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience growing qualified organic traffic through SEO, content, and GEO.
• Hands-on experience with AI search or answer engines and how content is surfaced in AI-generated responses.
• Experience with tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Semrush, or similar platforms.
• Experience with A/B testing, conversion rate optimization, attribution, or growth experimentation.
• Experience using Generative AI and LLM-powered tools for research, content development, analysis, or optimization.
• Familiarity with technical SEO, structured data, and web analytics.
• Experience in a technology, SaaS, startup, or other fast-moving digital environment.

• US Timezone Overlap: 6-7h with PST.
• This is not a pure engineering role; the focus is on growth, organic discovery, experimentation, and optimization.
