Senior React Native Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to join a product team building a cross-platform trading app for a financial services client. The project is well underway, and you’ll step into an established codebase and agile workflow to help deliver the remaining build. This is a frontend-focused role where you’ll work on live market data, secure integrations, and high-quality mobile UI in a regulated industry. Strong TypeScript and React Native skills, experience publishing to both app stores, and the ability to ramp up quickly on an existing project are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and release new features for a cross-platform mobile app, following the team’s existing architecture and standards.
• Connect the app to backend services, handling authentication, error recovery, paginated data, caching, and indicators that show users how current their data is.
• Build live-updating screens for financial data that remain fast and stable, even when connections drop or data arrives quickly.
• Implement designs with a high level of polish, ensuring a consistent experience on iOS and Android.
• Contribute to peer code reviews, device testing, and regular agile ceremonies.

Core Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience building React Native apps with TypeScript, with at least one app published on both the App Store and Google Play.
• Solid understanding of secure authentication in mobile apps (OAuth/OIDC, token lifecycle, secure storage) and resilient API integration.
• Experience building real-time features and managing app state with tools such as Redux, Zustand, or React Query.
• Proven ability to profile, debug, and optimize mobile app performance.
• Experience with automated testing (e.g., Jest, Detox) and mobile build and release pipelines (e.g., EAS, Fastlane).
• Previous work on fintech, trading, banking, or other regulated products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience handling multiple currencies and locale-specific number formatting.
• Familiarity with hybrid frameworks such as Ionic.
• Experience joining projects already in progress and becoming productive quickly.
• Spanish language skills.
